Sarah Aldridge was born in Napier, New Zealand, on 1 March 1979.
Sarah entered the Sisters of St Joseph, Whanganui, on 11 January 1899, and was professed on 2 July 1900, taking the religious name of Thomas.
She was one of three young women who entered the Sisters the same day. They were the first to join the new foundation of four Sisters who had arrived from Perthville NSW on 24 April 1880.
Sister Thomas died aged 31 years, on 25 December 1910.
