Here’s to Diversional Therapists! August 2013
The 16th September begins Diversional Therapy Awareness Week, and our own Diversional Therapist, Marion Grinstead explains its importance:
“Div
ersional Therapy provides people in rest homes, hospitals and other care facilities, activities that are therapeutic and meaningful. It is a job that requires “Many Hats’. We are their friends, we work one to one helping residents to fill in their day and make a difference. We also work with groups with games, keeping up with the news, outings, keeping in touch with family and friends, or relaxing with a good story or a sing song. The job is very varied as we are working with people from all walks of life and with varied health challenges.”
