Nazareth Rest Home News
Completion of Building Project May 2013
Residents, Staff, Board of Directors and Sisters gathered in the Nazareth Dining Room on 16th May to officially open the newly completed renovations.

Sister Justin was accorded the honour of cutting the ribbon as being the oldest resident. A short blessing was read, and all were invited to share in the delicious brunch meal provided by the skilled kitchen staff in their new surroundings. All had dressed up to celebrate and an assortment of fancy hats brought much admiration!

Kitchen staff are now well settled in to their new kitchen, and Chris and Lola shown here have come through a trying time ‘making do’ in the smaller Mt St Joseph kitchen next door.
The alterations have led to more light and space in the dining room, but most importantly a much more efficient and up-to-date kitchen which is compliant with today’s regulations.
Laundry staff as well, have a more spacious and far more efficient workplace. The whole area of the service entrance to the Home has been altered to accommodate these changes and staff are finding the changes most acceptable.
