Living with Differences June 2010
Two thousand years of Church History over two consecutive evenings was what an interested group of Catholics were treated to mid-June at the Centre. Monsignor John Broadbent from Wellington keep his attentive audience entertained with a ‘warts and all’ snapshot of the development of the institutional Catholic Church from the first century through to current times.
Mons John, shown above with some of the participants, has a real passion for his subject. He was able to roll dates and times off his tongue with out missing a beat and without the use of any aides except a hand-drawn map on the whiteboard. His non-defensive style and thorough knowledge was enjoyed by all.
